The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure here at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance stage designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SRD SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
